Choosing a Webflow User Accounts alternative in 2026: Memberstack vs Outseta prices, Zapier, Make or n8n for old Logic flows, and a migration checklist.

Webflow retired Logic on 27 June 2025 and User Accounts on 29 January 2026. For logins and paid memberships, the Webflow User Accounts alternative to pick is Memberstack or Outseta, the two tools Webflow itself recommends. Memberstack starts at $25 a month billed yearly, Outseta at $37. For Logic's old form automations, start with Webflow's own form settings, then add Zapier, Make or n8n.

I'm Chirag Singh, and I've built Webflow sites since 2023. The dates below come from Webflow's own notices, and every price is from the vendor's own pricing page as of 29 Oct 2026 unless I name another source, linked where I use it. Prices change often in this category, so check the page before you sign up.

What did Webflow retire, and what stopped working?

Webflow switched off Logic, its built-in workflow automation, on 27 June 2025, and User Accounts, its member logins, on 29 January 2026. Both dates are in the original Webflow update, which said Webflow was moving these jobs to "our ecosystem of vetted app partners."

Webflow's User Accounts sunset article (as of 29 Oct 2026) lists what ended on 29 January:

  • Members can no longer log in on published sites.
  • "Content gates within your site will be removed," so gated pages became public.
  • User Accounts pages turned into regular static pages.
  • All User Accounts APIs and webhooks stopped working.
  • User data was not moved into the CMS. Webflow asked site owners to export it as a CSV beforehand.

Paid memberships sold through Webflow Ecommerce are a special case. The same article says those subscriptions stay in your Stripe account and customers keep being charged. If that describes your site, members may be paying for pages that are now public, and that's the first thing to fix.

WarningIf your site still has /log-in or /sign-up pages, they're plain static pages now, and links in old emails and bookmarks still point to them. Redirect them to the new login page, or to your home page if you've dropped members altogether.

What does Webflow recommend instead of User Accounts and Logic?

Webflow names Outseta and Memberstack for memberships, and Zapier and Make for automations. It also lists certified partners for automations and memberships, agencies that help move sites off Logic and User Accounts. The original update mentions special discounts from these vendors for affected customers. Check each vendor's site for what still applies in late 2026.

n8n isn't on Webflow's list, but it connects to Webflow through webhooks, so I've included it in the automation section below.

Memberstack vs Outseta: which is the better User Accounts alternative?

Memberstack fits best when you need logins, gated pages and Stripe payments and nothing else. Outseta fits when you also want a CRM, email and a help desk in the same subscription. MemberSpace is worth a look if most of your members will be free, and if one shared password is enough, Webflow's own password protection does the job.

Membership options for a Webflow site, entry plans from each vendor's pricing page, as of 29 Oct 2026, in USD. Stripe's processing fees are extra on every paid tool.

Memberstack

Memberstack's pricing page puts every feature on every plan: "Same features on every tier. The fee just falls as you grow." Basic is $25 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly) with a 4% fee. Professional is $39 ($49) with 2%, and Business is $79 ($99) with 0.9%.

Watch the member count. Memberstack counts "the total number of Live members," free and paid alike, and Basic stops at 1,000. On Basic and Professional, reaching the limit upgrades the account automatically. A free newsletter-style member area can outgrow Basic before it earns anything.

You can build and test on a test site for free, with no time limit, and test-mode members don't count toward the limit. That lets you wire up the whole flow before paying a cent.

Outseta

Outseta bundles more into one bill. Its pricing page lists logins, protected content, Stripe payments, a CRM, email, a help desk and webhooks on every plan. Start is $37 a month with yearly billing ($47 monthly) for up to 1,000 contacts and a 2% fee. Scale is $97 ($127) for up to 10,000 contacts at 1%.

If you'd otherwise pay for an email tool and a help desk next to Memberstack, Outseta can work out cheaper overall. If you already run a CRM you're happy with, you'd be paying for parts you won't use. Outseta offers a 14-day free trial and lists free data migrations on every plan.

MemberSpace

MemberSpace works with any website, Webflow included. Starter is $39 a month billed yearly, with unlimited members and tiers, five member spaces and a 5% fee. The unlimited member count is the reason to compare it with Memberstack if most members will never pay.

When a shared password is enough

For a client portal, a press kit or material for one group, you may not need accounts at all. Webflow's password protection (as of 29 Oct 2026) can lock a page, a folder or a Collection template once the site has a paid Site plan. Everyone shares one password. Webflow also notes that "Files you upload to Webflow are not restricted," so a PDF linked from a locked page can still be opened by anyone with the file's URL.

Whichever option you choose, the site will be on a paid Site plan. My post on Webflow's pricing plans explains which plan a member site needs.

How do you choose a membership tool for Webflow?

For Webflow memberships in 2026, pick the smallest tool that does the job. Ask three questions in order: would a shared password do, are you really building an app, and do you want marketing tools in the same subscription? Most sites end up on Memberstack or Outseta.

Prices are entry plans billed yearly, from Memberstack's and Outseta's pricing pages on 29 Oct 2026. Over 1,000 mostly free members, compare MemberSpace.

The second question is the one to answer honestly. If members need dashboards, saved work or data that changes per person, you're building a web application. A membership tool handles logins and access; a product with its own data needs a backend. My custom code page says it plainly: a full web app with user accounts and its own database is a job for a product engineering team, not for me.

The same goes for sites that are a course platform or a community at heart. If that's yours, read my comparison of Webflow vs WordPress before choosing a tool, because plugins built for those jobs may serve you better.

What's the best Webflow Logic alternative for forms and automations?

The first Webflow Logic replacement to check is Webflow's own form settings, which now handle the simplest jobs Logic used to do. For anything that moves data into another tool, use Zapier for the easiest setup, Make for lower prices and visual branching, or n8n if you want to host it yourself.

What Webflow forms do on their own in 2026

Since 14 Oct 2025, each form can have its own notification settings and recipients, and a spam inbox lets you recover real submissions the filter caught (Webflow update). That covers jobs like emailing sales when the demo form is sent and support when the help form is sent, with no extra tool.

For anything beyond email, Webflow's webhook documentation lists a form_submission trigger that sends the form name, data and timestamp to a URL you choose. It's the cleanest way to connect a form to n8n or to your own code. Two details from the docs matter. A failed call is retried up to three times, 10 minutes apart, before Webflow deactivates the webhook. And webhooks created in the dashboard lack the headers needed to verify signatures, so create them through the API if your endpoint checks them.

Zapier, Make or n8n?

Automation tools that replace Webflow Logic, as of 29 Oct 2026. Zapier and n8n from their pricing pages, with Zapier's monthly rate and Make's prices from Jetadmin's check on 26 Sep 2026. USD, except n8n, which prices in euros.

n8nSelf-hosted Community EditionStarter €20/mo billed yearly, 2,500 executionsWebflow's form_submission webhookDevelopers, self-hosting

Zapier's pricing page starts Professional at $19.99 a month and gives the free plan 100 tasks a month on two-step Zaps. Jetadmin's check on 26 Sep 2026 reads $19.99 as the yearly-billed rate and $29.99 as month to month. Zapier counts each successful action as a task, so a form that adds a row to a sheet and posts to Slack uses two tasks per submission.

Make's figures come from a third party. Jetadmin's Make pricing check (26 Sep 2026) lists the free plan at up to 1,000 credits, and Core at $9 a month billed yearly ($10.59 monthly) for 10,000 credits. Most actions cost one credit.

n8n's pricing page lists Starter at €20 a month billed yearly for 2,500 executions, plus a self-hosted Community Edition on GitHub. Self-hosting means you run, secure and update the server yourself. For a small marketing site, that's rarely worth it.

Common Logic flows map across like this:

  • Email the right person when a form is sent: Webflow's per-form notifications.
  • Send a lead to a CRM or a Google Sheet: Zapier or Make.
  • Create a CMS item from a submission: Zapier or Make through their Webflow apps, or n8n through the Webflow API.
  • Route a submission by its answers: Make or n8n, where branching costs little.

The User Accounts and Logic migration checklist

If your site still carries traces of User Accounts or Logic, work through this in order. The order matters most for paid members, so nobody is charged twice or locked out halfway through the move.

user-accounts-logic-migration.txtCopy
1. INVENTORY
[ ] List every page that was gated, and who could see it
[ ] List every Logic flow: trigger, steps, where the data went
[ ] Find the members CSV you exported (Webflow did not move it to the CMS)
[ ] Check Stripe for subscriptions still billing from Webflow Ecommerce

2. CHOOSE
[ ] Shared password, Memberstack, Outseta, MemberSpace or a custom app
[ ] Webflow form settings, Zapier, Make or n8n for each Logic flow

3. BUILD ON STAGING
[ ] Recreate plans and gated pages in the new tool's test mode
[ ] Rebuild sign-up, log-in and account pages
[ ] Rebuild each flow; send test submissions end to end

4. MOVE MEMBERS
[ ] Import members; carry Stripe customer IDs over for paid members
[ ] Plan a password reset or passwordless login (passwords don't transfer)

5. LAUNCH
[ ] 301 redirects: old path /sign%-up and /log%-in (Webflow needs the %)
[ ] If User Systems is still on: CMS panel settings, Disable User Systems
[ ] Publish, then email members what changed and how to log in
[ ] Test a new sign-up, a payment and a cancellation on the live site

The % in the redirect paths is Webflow's rule, from its sunset article: "You must add a % symbol before the hyphen when entering the old path," or the redirect won't save. On passwords, Memberstack's Webflow migration page says passwords don't migrate, so members need passwordless login or a reset email, while paid members' Stripe customer IDs carry over so their plans keep working.

NoteWebflow support doesn't cover third-party integrations or custom code, per its sunset article. Budget for setup help separately, whether that's the vendor's migration team, a certified partner or a developer.

I replace retired Webflow features with the lightest tool that works, from Memberstack or Outseta member areas to form automations, and test every integration end to end before launch.

Custom code and integrations

What does it cost to replace User Accounts and Logic?

Budget for two things: the tool's monthly fee, paid to the vendor, and the setup. In my estimator, as of October 2026, one automation workflow is $250 to $350 and a standalone CRM connection is $900 to $1,200, the same figures as in my post on what a Webflow website costs. A member area is quoted after a call, because the price depends on the number of plans and gated templates.

Tool subscriptions are never part of my quote. For a site on Memberstack Basic and Zapier Professional, both billed yearly, that's $25 plus $19.99 a month on top of your Webflow plan, before Stripe and Memberstack's 4% on any member payments.

If you know what you need, list the gated pages and the flows and run them through my estimator. If you're not sure which tool fits, book a 30-minute call and we'll go through the decision flow above with your site open.
